Iowa
Packages And Pricing
Iowa is a drawing state for non-resident tags. Currently in Zone 5 where my properties are located it is taking approximately 5 points to draw an archery tag and 1 point to draw a shotgun or muzzleloader tag. The non-resident tag application process takes place during the month of May and you need to apply for points or your tag to be eligible to draw your tag. With that said, you do need to plan years in advance to book your Iowa hunt with us. We can determine what year you will draw and get you scheduled for that year with a minimal down payment. Our Iowa hunts book out years in advance and if you wait to book a hunt with us until the year you actually draw a tag, there will not be room.
Check-out the pricing and packages below to begin the process of booking your dream hunt. Feel free to contact me anytime and I can further assist you with the Iowa non-resident draw process and with booking a hunt the year you will draw a tag.
A deposit of 1/2 of your hunting cost is required to reserve dates. Your remaining balance is due upon successfully drawing your tag.
To better increase our number of quality bucks, Buffalo County Outfitters has elected to enforce a 140 inch antler restriction. There will be a $1500 penalty for any buck shot under the 140 inch minimum.

We’ve switched gears from archery season and now concentrate on hunting food. Bucks are winding down from the rut and looking to gain back what they lost during the rut and are starting to get back to feeding more. In the evenings we will be concentrating on food and in the mornings we will be getting back in the timber and trying to catch deer coming off food sources back to bedding.

This hunt is the start of concentrating on food sources for the most part. We do morning hunts yet but we are starting to get to the point where we want to just concentrate on the evening hunt over food sources as deer are really transitioning to focusing on food for the most part.

This hunt you can hunt unlimited for the entire muzzleloader season. We only do evening hunts on food sources for this hunt as deer are concentrating on food sources this time of year. A big cold front or a good snow fall is really wanted this time of year to drive them to our standing grain plots. I give my hunters the flexibility to watch the weather and come when they want to anytime during the muzzleloader season. Seeing 20 – 50 deer is not out of the question on a sit during this time of year and we draw a lot of new bucks from other areas to our food sources.
