It's not to often that we have little to no snow the first couple days of February like we do this year. Because of this, Stacy and I took advantage of this and headed over to one of the Minnesota properties and did some early stand prep for this fall. We spent the day hanging new stands at some awesome new locations, limbed those out along with some existing stands as well, and flagged and reflective taped entrance and exit routes to these stands. Feels good to get back at it and to be able to get a jumb on things this early in the year already.
With going archery only starting this year, we also spent some time doing more scouting to find more new stand locations and we definitely found some really good spots that we will be adding more stands to on our next trip. We also got to get a little shed hunting in while scouting and I was lucky enough to pick up a really good one. I love scouting this time of year and trying to put the pieces together from the sign that is still very easy to see from this past fall to help us going forwardl There is no better time to get out and put boots to the ground scouting than right now!!
