2024 Stand Prep and Scouting

We have been taking advantage of the early spring this year and getting a jumb start on our 2024 stand prep.  We were already hard at in down in Iowa and Missouri already in February.  Each spring we hang new stands, move some existing stands, limb out shooting areas for all the stands, and flag and reflective tape entry and exit routes to all stands.  

We also do all the general maintenance on all the stands as well making sure all straps are good and safe.  This year I got a couple new properties in Wisconsin and in Iowa so we have been doing a lot of preseason scouting on these properties and will be hanging stands on these properties as well.  Spring time, in my opinion, is the best time to do your scouting for the upcoming season and also to do all your stand prep.  Once we finish up all of this, probably by mid April, there will be no more intrusion on the properties other than putting out cameras, and doing food plots.  This keeps the pressure down on all our properties all the time leading up to the season.
